Gym Expansion

The Gym at San Dimas High School is scheduled to be remodeled and expanded thanks to measure AB funds.  The plan includes bringing the entire gym up to code, adding a new lobby (pictured above), and adding a third practice court.

San Dimas Connection Project
The SDCP (replacing the SCP for classes of 2011+) is a portfolio-based project that will assist students in meeting Expected Schoolwide Learning Results (ESLRs) by examining their skills, developing their abilities, and articulating their plans for the future. A complete description of the project can be found in the SDCP Handbook at top-left.

Lady Saints Golf Award
2010-golf-ladies-1.jpgThe Lady Saints’ Golf team took home a very prestigious award this year.  They were the runner-ups for the CIF All-Academic Team in the southern section for small schools.  Lauren Rhodeas, Kristine Delgadillo, Samantha Delgadillo, Cheyenne Scheffler, and Lauren Lee have a combined, unweighted, GPA of 3.81.

Congratulations to Athletic Director Nicki Bonomo for being named the Southern Section Athletic Director of the Year on by the California State Athletic Directors Association! This is quite an honor and her second award for her work as an Athletic Director in the past few years.

If your child is like most teenagers, they spend a lot of time on a cell phone or instant messenger chatting with friends and uploading photos, videos, and music to websites. They may have online friends whom they never have met in person, with whom they play games and exchange messages. Teens’ lives exist in a variety of places such as school hallways, part-time jobs, and friends’ houses. Now many teens also have lives on the Internet. And while most of these experiences are perfectly harmless, bullying has followed teens online. Online bullying, which is called cyberbullying, happens when teens use the Internet, cell phones, or other devices to send or post text or images intended to hurt or embarrass another person. Cyberbullying is a problem that affects many American teens. Whether your teen has been a victim of cyberbullying, they know someone who has been cyberbullied, or have even cyberbullied themselves, there are steps you can take to stop cyberbullying and keep your child’s online experience cyber-safe.
