PTSA: Drive into the 4th annual San Dimas High School PTSA Car Show, Saturday, May 6 from 9 AM to 2 PM. Food, vendors, community booths, live entertainment , DJ, K-5th grade bicycle decorating contest and parade, and e-waste event. For more information and sponsorship opportunities go to SanDimasHigh.com. Proceeds benefit: scholarships, teacher and department grants, positive behavior intervention program and school gift.
Summer ROP/CTE Credit courses: The Career & Technical Education Center at Fairplex (CTEC) provides semester-long vocational training courses to students at least 16 years old and/or a junior/senior in high school. There is no cost to high school participants and students receive hours that may be used for elective credits towards high school graduation. Registration deadline is June 12. Attention All Boys: Our second Power Buff Volleyball meeting will be Tuesday at break in the gym. This will be the last day to sign–up if you missed Wednesday’s meeting. Come and find out who your teammates and coaches will be! Do not forget that you will need to turn in your permission slip and money by Friday May 12, or you will not be allowed to participate.
Attention all Athletes, Cheer, and Dance Team members for 2017-18: The site will be available to register beginning May 1, 2017. Please go to the website under athletics, under athletic clearance and all the information will be available. All students must upload a current physical dated May 1, 2017 or later. Students participating in summer sports must be cleared by June 9. If you do not register and upload a current physical you will not be allowed to participate in summer tryouts, games or practice.
Sports Physical sign ups: Attention Athletes, we are now scheduling appointments for sports physicals on Monday, May 8th. Appointments are available on a first come first served basis. Appointments are available starting at 6:00 p.m. and continuing every 15 minutes until 7:45 p.m. Space is limited so make sure to book your appointment today with Mrs. Lowary in the front office!
Free summer vocational class at Mt. SAC: Mt. SAC will be offering a free seven week non-credit vocational training class in the healthcare field this summer. The program is designed to prepare students for entry level employment as a Personal Care Aide/Caregiver with a potential for career and educational ladders. Training, case management, and job placement assistance are provided at no cost to the students. Students will be responsible for paying a parking fee of $25.
Seniors: If you are committing to a four year college or going into the military, please come to take your photo with your college pennant by the Media Center at break and 1st lunch! Also, please do not forget to wear your college shirt to rep your school!!!

Dance Team: Come join us for the 16th Annual Dance Team Concert held at the BCA. Tickets are on sale this week in the finance office or you can purchase your tickets from a Dance Team friend. We look forward to seeing you there!

Attention Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors! If you have competed in a complete season in sports this year and have a weighted cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, please check at the Student Services window to make sure your name is on the list for the Scholar Athlete Banquet. The banquet will be held on Monday, May 15 at the Pomona Valley Mining Co. The list will be posted outside the student services window so please stop by and check it out. If your name isn’t on the list and you feel you qualify, see Mrs. Eckenrode or Mrs. Kear.
