2019 Honors Grad U Scholarship "Design a Better Future": Five $10,000 scholarships open to graduating high school seniors planning to attend an accredited college or university. Students must design and work on a community improvement project using a checklist as a guide. The deadline to apply is April 28, 2019. Find more information at:

Health Science Immersion Program: A 7 day program where students will hear from professors, PhD Students and health professionals. The program is designed to be transformative, with students taking workshops related to college admissions, career preparation, and general college presentations. The program will be held at Cal State LA and is FREE to all students on free and reduced lunch. Find more information and apply using this link: https://www.impactinternships.org/

Attention Saints! Wednesday, May 1st is National College Signing and Commitment Day! We will be celebrating our Senior Saints by having a signing celebration for students committing to a 4-year college, community college, technical school, or the military at 6:30 pm in the gym. ALL Seniors must complete the Senior Survey: bit.ly/SeniorSurvey19 no later than Wednesday, April 24th.

Senior Cap and Gown distribution:  Seniors your Caps and Gowns will be distributed after your SDCP presentations on May 22nd and 23rd.  If you have already done your presentations at Open House, you will also pick up your Caps and Gowns on May 22nd and 23rd in the afternoon.  Jostens will be on campus to distribute.  If you have not purchased your Cap and Gown you need to order online at as soon as possible.  Jostens will have a small supply of extra Caps and Gowns to purchase on May 22nd and 23rd, however there is no guarantee your size will be available.  If you have any questions see Mrs. Lowary in the front office.

Seniors attending grad nite need to sign up for buses Wednesday, April 24 @ 2:30. You will not be able to choose a bus without a permission slip.

Boys......it's just about time of year to show off your volleyball skills!
Our 3rd annual Power Buff game will be here before you know it.  Please come to MC-1 on Wednesday April 24 to find out more information.  This is always a fun event. The winning boys team will will face off against our AMAZING varsity team!  

Jean and Robert Olander Educational Foundation Scholarship: The Olander scholarship is open to high school seniors that have attended SDHS for at least grades 11 and 12 with a minimum 2.5 GPA and plans to attend a two or four-year college, or a vocational/trade program full time. Applications are due APRIL 30th and are available in the Career Center!

ATTENTION SPIRITED SAINTS:  Do you want to get involved but don’t know where to start?  Are you outgoing, funny, spirited. Join the San Dimas Mascot team “Sammy the Saint” and get ready for some fun.  Sammy the Saint has become a popular spirit representative for San Dimas High School, the City of San Dimas and other fun events.  He has even performed with the UCLA Bruin on television. We are looking for 4 students (boys and girls) to get involved, be part of the spirit team at football games, parades, rallies and more.  Contact Kim Lowary at San Dimas in the front office or call her at 909-971-8230 x 3033 to sign up.

SDHS PTSA Car Show Volunteers needed May 4. Please email Yvonne (pena@bonita.k12.ca.us) if you want to help. Jobs:  set up, clean up, cooks, photographers, traffic supervisors, and distribute goody bags. Work 3 or more hours, get a meal.

Attention Choir members:  Our end of the year Choir Banquet will be held on Wednesday, May 15th at 6:00 p.m. at San Dimas Canyon Golf Course.  Tickets are $25 per person, and are available to purchase now.  The final day to purchase tickets will be Monday, May 6th.  Don’t wait space is limited.  See Mr. Pugh or Mrs. Lowary for details.

SDHS Drama Club Presents Walt Disney’s TARZAN. April 17,18 & 20 @ 7 PM April 19 @ 4 PM & 8 PM April 20 @ 2 PM.  Tickets: Students $5 Presale $15 in the finance or online and at the door $20 everyone.  

Prom Tickets are now on sale!! Tickets are $110 if you have an ASB card and $120 without ASB. Each week ticket prices go up $10 so get yours ASAP!

Hey Saints, Dr. Poma has an important announcement about Saturday School. You must serve all assigned Saturday schools or you WILL be subject to the following consequences: You will not be able to attend prom (tickets are non-refundable), you will not be able to keep your lunch pass, you will not receive your yearbook during your scheduled distribution date, Seniors will not be able to check out, and Freshman - Juniors will be assigned a 5th period study period for 1st quarter of fall semester. Saturday school notices were sent out this week, and a phone call and email have been sent home. Do the right thing and serve so that you don't have to face any additional consequences.

Saints! Please be advised that if you have not cleared your detentions, you have been placed on the no dance list and will be unable to attend prom until cleared. Please check with Ms. Pena in the Student Services Office if you unsure of your status.

Do you have a dance contract on file?  Check the list outside the Finance Office to make sure you have a dance contract on file before you buy your prom tickets!  You only need one dance contract per year. You DO NOT need to fill out another one if your name is on the list!

Want to take the PSAT for FREE?! The San Dimas Library will be hosting a FREE PSAT practice test on Saturday, April 6 from 11-3pm and a results & review session on Saturday, April 20 from 11-3 pm. The test is open to ALL high school students! Visit this link for complete details:  

San Dimas Charity Pro Rodeo Scholarship: Open to graduating high school seniors residing in San Dimas, La Verne, and Glendora. Applicants must submit an application and essay. This scholarship is open to all regardless of what shape your grades are in or how many sports you do or don't play. Pick up application in Career Center!
