CTEC provides semester-long vocational training courses. Courses are offered at no charge to all high school students and with a partnership with San Antonio ROP, students receive hours that may be used for elective credits towards high school graduation. We still have open registration for the Ceramic Manufacturing, Fashion Design, Urban Farming (Agriculture) and Water Distribution courses. If students are interested, please have them submit an application via online or PDF to be considered for registration.

Are you interested in visiting BELIZE? Parents, would you like to give your student the gift of TRAVEL? Mr. Black will be leading a trip to BELIZE during Spring Break this year! The BELIZE trip will run from March 30 to April 5, 2019, and will include snorkeling, SCUBA, zip lining through the rainforest, Cave tubing, visits to zoos, waterfalls and beaches!
Are you a Korean War Veteran, who lives in San Dimas or has lived in San Dimas for a least one year? Is so, the San Dimas HEROES (Helping Establish a Remembrance of Every Serviceperson) would like to recognize you on Veterans Day during our Annual Veterans Day Celebration. This year the event will be held on Monday, November 12, 2018 at 4:00PM in Freedom Park (corner of San Dimas Ave. and Commercial St.) Applications to participate are available at San Dimas City Hall.

Anyone interested in playing boys soccer, preseason practices are beginning this week and will go from Tuesday-Thursday. They will start after school at 3:00 and will be on the grass right by the locker rooms. Anyone not participating in a fall sport and is interested in playing this upcoming season should attend. Physicals must be completed in order to participate.
Attention All Boys! If any of you are interested in coming out for boys tennis this upcoming season, please come see coach Al on Mondays after school from 2:45 and 5:00pm. As girls season is wrapping up, boys conditioning and practice is starting soon. Spots are limited so come show us your skills.
Girls Tennis: The Banquet will be on Thursday, November 15th from 6-9pm at the La Verne Country Club. Tickets are now on sale in the Finance Office. Athletes are $25 and guests are $30 each. The deadline to purchase tickets is Friday, October 26th at 3:30pm.

Volunteer Hours! Ekstrand Elementary Annual Pumpkin Night Festival coming up on Friday, October 26th at 6pm. We would love it if we could get some volunteers from the high school to come help set up and run some of the booths. We are looking for about 20-30 volunteers to get there about 5pm to help set up and stay to help run the booths and break down at the end of the night. Seniors! The Young Legislators Program offers high school seniors a front row seat to the public policy and political arena. During the six month program, students will meet once a month to become better advocates on issues they care about, gain valuable leadership skills, and learn about the legislative process. The program concludes with a free trip to northern California to visit the Facebook headquarters and the State Capitol. Seniors with a 2.5 unweighted GPA or higher are invited to apply online at www.asmdc.org/Holden

Taking the SAT? All students taking the SAT over the next few months. In order for us to recognize you in the Renaissance rally for the Spring when you earn that 1300+ SAT score you need to report your scores to our school site when you sign up for the test online. Don't forget!
