  • COSMOS is an intensive four-week summer residential program for students who have demonstrated an aptitude for academic and professional careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) subjects. Talented and motivated students completing grades 8-12 have the opportunity to work with renowned faculty, researchers and scientists in state-of-the-art facilities, while exploring advanced STEM topics far beyond the courses usually offered in California high schools. Students can apply to one of the four University of California’s COSMOS campuses: UC Davis, UC Irvine, UC San Diego, and UC Santa Cruz. Applications are now available at

SDHS PTSA: Please join us at our PTSA Founders Day Celebration and Association meeting on Feb 5th at 6:30 pm in the Gym. We will be recognizing members from our community, parents, teachers, and students for their time and dedication in helping our students and families. Band, drama, dance, and choir students will also be performing. We hope to see you there!

Grad Nite 2018: Grad Nite will be selling tickets at lunch in the quad and out front after school on the 26th. They will also be selling the SDHS logo acrylic cups for $10.00 and class stickers for $3.00 each.

Today’s Announcements:

Attention Seniors: APU is hosting their Sneak Peek event from February 1st-2nd; where juniors, seniors, and their families are able to experience the campus of APU. You can eat on campus, visit with faculty from the departments they are interested in, and essentially they get to "try on" APU and see if it really could be their future college! Students can even spend the night in the freshmen dorms and get a feel for what it would be like if they attended APU. Normally the cost is $25 to attend, but APU is offering it to San Dimas High School students for free! To sign up, go to and use the code APUMOU18. Parents and guests will still need to pay the fee, but the student fee is waived!

Girls Soccer: The Varsity Lady Saints beat Baldwin Park at home on Monday in a tight 2-1 game. They went down 0-1 early but never gave up and battled the Braves for a full 80 minutes scoring two goals in the last 5 minutes of the game! The JV Lady Saints also came out strong to beat Baldwin Park 4-0! Come out to support the ladies on Thursday at home vs Covina. Varsity and JV both kickoff at 3:15pm. GO SAINTS!!!

Boys Wrestling: The boys Varsity team traveled to Santa Ana and competed at the Jaguar Classic. Five SD wrestlers came away with medals!

The boys JV team traveled to El Monte to compete in "Arroyo's: Last Chance Tournament". Two SD wrestlers came away with medals.

Hey Saints! This Friday we will be playing Covina in basketball. Come out to show your support. The theme is 80's night! This will also be our annual "SILENT NIGHT" game. Come out because it will be tons of fun!!! You get in free with an ASB card!

**Tpumps is coming back! Grad Nite will be selling out front after school on Friday, January 26th!

Star Applications: Star applications for 1st semester are available in the front office. If you have a 3.0 GPA and participated in 1 activity, you qualify for a Royal Star award. If you have a 4.0 GPA and participated in 2 activities, you qualify for a Gold Star award. GPA and activity involvement is based on 1st semester grades and participation. Applications are due on or before January 25, 2018.

Scholarship opportunities for Senior PTSA members: CA PTA (due Feb. 1), SDHS PTSA (due Feb.  23), & District 1 (due March 23). Forms are at Membership is only $8.

Need Tutoring? National Honor Society is offering FREE tutoring in all subjects. Tutoring is available Monday through Thursday from 2:30pm to 4pm in Mrs. Luevand's room (H6). No need to sign up, just stop by if you need help with any subjects. We look forward to helping you!
