Tardy = BIP
Students automatically receive a BIP (30 minute detention) every time they are tardy.
The policy is designed to cut down on the dozens of tardies we see every period. When a student is tardy to class they miss valuable instruction and disrupt the instruction of others. The new policy is simple:
- Students who are tardy to any class during the day will be assigned a BIP (detention).
- Parents may excuse up to three 1st period tardies per semester. Tardies will be cleared when a parent speaks to the attendance clerk or sends a note within 24 hours (no phone messages please).
- BIPS can be served before or after school (7:00-7:30 or 2:30-3:30).
- Un-served BIPS will result in a Saturday School.
