Jazz Band:

 

- Listen to the songs listed at www.jazz24.org/jazz-100 from "Take 5" to "Sing Sing Sing". Be ready to do a "drop the needle" quiz next Friday, identifying those songs by name and composer. 

 

- Memorize the names of the various intervals from unison to octave.

 

  

 

EVERYONE:

 

Make sure you are memorizing the following songs:

- The Star Spangled Banner (by Sep 4)

- The Fight Song (by Aug 31)

- The Alma Mater (by Aug 31)

- The Field Show (first movement should be done already)

- British Eighth (by Sep 10)

Review your rhythm counting pages

On non-band rehearsal days, make sure you are practicing at least a little bit (15 minutes)!
